Winter Waltz

This early intermediate waltz in 3/4 meter features a graceful, flowing melody in the left hand that moves in stepwise dotted half notes while the right hand fills out the measure with legato arpeggios. Students will notice that the cover of the solo, which features an elegant couple skating on a wooded pond, is an excellent visual portrayal of composer Catherine Rollin’s musical intent.
