Winter Moon

This beautiful romantic-style solo is written in D major and 4/4 meter. It is the perfect vehicle for developing a lyrical style of playing. Careful balance must be achieved between the right-hand melody and the left-hand accompaniment of broken chords using fifths and octaves. Delicate 16th-note passages and 16th-note triplets are found in the melody as well, adding to its wistfulness.
