Toccata

This piece, originally for organ (using the trumpet stop), lends itself well to the brass quintet providing the first trumpet to perform the majority of the solo line with colorful, interesting parts in the remainder of the ensemble.The full title is Toccata per il Deo Gratias, and there are many excellent recordings of this piece available by organists and some with solo trumpet and organ.
