The Last Rose of Summer

This famous Irish folk melody is the “Groves of Blarney”. It has been performed by many vocal soloists from the United Kingdom and around the world. This arrangement features a trumpet player playing much of the beautiful solo. The flute, baritone and alto saxophone also have some sections of melody. The lush chords and wandering countermelodies make this slow work a perfect change of pace on a concert.
