Renowned Welsh composer Paul Mealor’s Sanctuary Haunts was commissioned by the University of Aberdeen and first performed by the award-winning choir Polyphony. The piece lasts around 12 minutes and is split into three settings: I. Sanctuario by R.S Parkes (trans. John Barnes); II. Lantern of Stone by Peter Davidson; III. Locus Iste. Each of these movements flows nicely into the next, while they can be performed separately if the performers so desire.
