Requiem: Songs for Sue

Oliver Knussen wrote this requiem entitled Songs for Sue, a setting of four poems for soprano and 15-piece ensemble, as a memorial tribute to his late wife. The music received its world première in Chicago in 2006. Instrumentation:Flute, Alto Flute, 2 Clarinets in B-flat, Bass Clarinet, 2 Horns in F, Percussion (1 player): Marimba and Tam-tam, Harp, Piano (= Celesta), 2 Violas, 2 Cellos and Double Bass. The score is notated in C.
