Commissioned by the Sacred Heart Jazz Ensemble in Salina, Kansas and director Milton Allen, this Victor López original is exciting and challenging, yet playable . . . and fun to play. Victor put those ingredients together and cooked them at grade 2. You may even hear a musical quote from a well-known Latin hit from the past. Contrasting ensemble sections, no improvised solos, and a hot line for baritone sax are but a few of the distinctive elements that allow the Latin experience to come to life.
