Written in the final year of his life, this adaptation of Mozart’s famous overture from the opera The Magic Flute, merges the principles of sonata and fugue forms. Opening with majestic chords, the allegro is a four-part fugal exposition followed by a soaring melodic theme. Arranged for SAATBar saxopone quintet.
