Magical Monkeys

Have fun “swinging” around the keyboard through the changing registers and hand crossings found in this solo. Written in 4/4 meter, the melody begins in Middle C position and then changes position, moving up the keyboard. The lyrics and music aptly depict monkeys swinging high and low. Staccatos used throughout make this piece a wonderful vehicle for learning this important technique. An optional teacher duet adds to the whimsical feel of the piece.
