Based on a poem by García Lorca’s beloved Rosalía de Castro, Lúa Descolorida was inspired by Dawn Upshaw’s “rainbow of a voice.”
“It is a quietly luminous song with a sinuous vocal line full of slow melismas and gently syoncopated phrases over a slowly moving piano part…For a soprano with many colors in her voice and ease in soft, floating singing, this would be a wonderful choice.”–Journal of Singing
