Robert James has delved into the Faure archives and uncovered this exquisite gem from the French composer’s MESSE BASSE. Originally scored for female chorus, the movement has been set here for two-part voices, treble or mixed. All editorial markings are clearly indicated, as well as voicing suggestions for mixed chorus. This short work is a perfect introduction to literature of this genre for any smaller ensemble.
