Just Because It’s Halloween

This early elementary solo will spark the imaginations of young students. Included are lyrics that list all the fun and scary things that are a part of Halloween. Using a D minor 5-finger pattern, the opening and closing sections are played staccato, but the middle section is legato, providing a contrast in articulation. There is also great dynamic variety, and a short coda at the end that uses the upper and lower registers of the keyboard. An optional teacher duet accompaniment adds to the mood and excitement of the piece.
