The left hand keeps a fairly constant broken chord accompaniment, and the right hand sings the melody, with occasional reaches of an octave. There are many changes in tempo, meter and dynamics, and there is a generous use of the extremes of the keyboard. This solo won a Lynn Freeman Olson Composition Award.
