Here’s a cockeyed view of everyone’s favorite fairy tale characters in this hysterical take on the Brothers Grimm: an ambivalent Cinderella; a bloodthirsty Little Red Riding Hood; two Prince Charmings with an acute case of sibling rivalry. Add the Baker and his wife, Rapunzel and Jack (of Beanstalk fame) and your audiences are in store for a real treat! Adapted from the first act of the full length musical, Into the Woods Jr. is a funny and engaging work, and while the musical score has been simplified somewhat, is still challenging.
