El Abanico (The Fan) is the most famous work of Spanish bandmaster Alfredo Javaloyes. This pasodoble (a quick, Spanish military march) was named after a popular café in Cartagena containing a large, fan-shaped table where artists (including the composer) reportedly gathered daily for discussions and refreshments.
