One of Benedetto Marcello’s (1686-1739) best-known and oft-performed works, this early 18th century work was actually an arrangement of his brother Alessandro’s D minor oboe concerto. The three-movement work was hailed by great composers of the time, even transcribed for keyboard by J.S. Bach. A string count of 8-8-5-5-5 is included in the set.
