Come, Christians, Join to Sing

Good for Music Appreciation Sunday, multi-choir festivals or general worship, this stirring anthem is written for one or three choirs with optional brass quartet and handbells. The work opens with brilliant choral and instrumental fanfares, then moves into a sturdy setting of the beloved hymntune. Verses 1 and 3 call for optional congregational participation. If performing with more than one choir, why not divide the choirs spatially, creating an antiphonal effect?
